The Real World (known as simply Real World since 2014) is a reality television program on MTV originally produced by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray. First broadcast in 1992, the show, which was inspired by the 1973 PBS documentary series An American Family, is the longest-running program in MTV history and one of the longest-running reality series in history, credited with launching the modern reality TV genre.

Created by Jonathan Murray, Mary-Ellis Bunim. With Janelle Casanave, Alton Williams II, Arissa Hill, Brynn Smith. Each season, series producers choose a diverse group of seven to eight people in their late teens to mid-20s to live together in a major city. The series presents their spontaneous, unscripted interactions with one another and the world around them, focusing on a different group and city each season.
